RECIPROCITY

FACILITIES AND AMENITIES:

Blackbeard Sailing Club is a member club of Yachting Clubs of America and offers visitors from reciprocal Yacht Clubs use of the BSC dock and the Club's restrooms and do-it-yourself kitchen facility.

The dock is of recent construction and includes water and 30 and 20-amp outlets for 110-volts AC. WiFi service is available on the docks and in the clubhouse. Unattended restroom and showers are accessible behind the main clubhouse. Dock carts are beneath the clubhouse as are ice and soft-drink machines. Numerous chandleries, engine, electric, electronic, canvas, hydraulic, haul-out, and fuel facilities and services are a 15 minute taxi ride away as are several restaurants from casual to luxurious. A public phone (free local calls and long-distance through operator) is upstairs in the clubhouse, as is a weather radio receive and VHF base station. A full-service pump out facility is available at nearby Northwest Creek Marina and an oil dump tank is about 6 miles away at the Craven County Convenience Center.

DOCK RULES AND REGULATIONS:

Blackbeard Sailing Club makes 100 feet of dock space available to reciprocal club members on a first-come, first served basis. The first night's dockage is free. The dock is a side-tie, parallel dock with breakwater protection from direction of greatest fetch.  Low water depth is over seven feet, and the largest boat accommodated is about 65 feet.

BSC reserves the right to adjust dock lines and/or refuse or grant dockage at it's sole discretion on this dock to offer the most boats dock space and to facilitate Club use of the dock for any purpose. It is strongly suggested you email or send a post card in advance of your expected arrival and identify the dates, the captain's name, boat name, and yacht club affiliation. BSC is an all-volunteer (not professionally staffed) Club, and may be unattended. The telephone may not be answered in these circumstances.
